LISTEN
I sit at the South Bend Chocolate Factory and listen to the constant hustle and bustle. The sound of the door constantly opening and closing. The sound of family and friends conversations. The sound of plates and silverware banging against each other. The sound of the cash register. The noise from Michael Buble playing from the speakers. What if we all stopped to hear the noises around us? What if all those noises suddenly stopped? Would we hear what God has to say to us? Would we hear what his plans are for us? I know we don't take enough time to stop and listen to God. We take time to listen to our friends and family, but not God, why is that?
A Little Journaling
I just dropped off Lauren at a test she has to take for Memorial Hospital.(Math and English) After driving around for five minutes trying to get a parking spot I gave up, parked my car, and walked to the South Bend Chocolate Factory. I ordered my favorite hot chocolate ever, White Hot Chocolate. I brought my bible with me because as you know I want to start reading my bible everyday. So far I read Acts chapter two. I think its pretty cool because my mother, Lauren, and I have been talking about the end times recently. When I started reading again I didn't remember why but I knew I liked Acts. Chapter two talks about the end times. God says, "In the last days, I will pour out my Spirit" It also talks about what the people are to do. Peter says, "Change your life. Turn to God and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, so your sins are forgiven"

The Bible
Lately I have not been reading the bible at all. It is something I have had a hard time sitting down and doing all my life. I really just do not like to read. I really never understood the bible. I always struggled understanding what it really said. So I ask for the Message Remix for my birthday. Judy had it before and I read a few pages in it and I could actually understand what it was saying. Last night I read Acts Chapter 1. There was a really passage that I got from it.
"As they met and ate meals together, he told them that they were on no account to leave Jerusalem but must wait for what the Father promised"
I just thought it was really neat because last night Patrick, Kyle, John G. and Peggy, and myself met and had a delicious meal together. Thanks again John and Peggy. I think it is so cool that they had their meals together and didn't make something and then go in their own rooms or were too busy to eat together like so many families today.

My Past Weeks
I apologize for not posting like I said I was going to. I don't know why I have not. There is no excuse. I am going to try and keep my promise and post at least once a day.
Well what I have been up to the last weeks I haven't posted.
On May 7th was Laurens birthday. We celebrated by me making her Chicken Parmasean, and opening presents and just enjoying each other. I got her a Beauty and the Beast snow globe and $100 for her to spend on her apartment.
On May 30th the last day of my junior career was over. I finished with a cummulative GPA of 3.2. It went down this year so I look to bring that up next year. I am a senior now and can't wait to go to college and start my career.
On June 1st was my sister in laws birthday. (Sam) We went to Between the Buns and hung out there. It was fun I love spending time with them.
On June 18th was my birthday. I got (I pitched in some money to get it) a new 32" plasma Vizio flat screen tv. I absolutely love it. My mommy got it for me. My dad got me a Red Sox jacket. The same ones the players wear. My brother got me a Red Sox hoody that I have been wanting. Lauren got me the Message Remix bible, a Kevin Garnett t-shirt championship jersey. She still has one more thing for me.
So I have been having a blast enjoying summer vacation and can't wait for July and August fun.
